Plan of Examination: 

The combined competitive examination will comprise of following stages 

( (i) Preliminary Examination (Objective type) for the selection of candidates for the Main Examination, (ii) Main Examination (Subjective type) and (iii) Viva-voce and Personality Test for the selection of candidates. Applications will be invited online for the Preliminary Examination only. Candidates who are declared to have qualified for admission to the Main Written Examination will have to apply again for which they will be informed separately.


 (i) The Preliminary Examination is only for short listing of category wise candidates 15 times of the advertised posts, on the basis of marks obtained by them in both the subjects (General Studies & CSATpaper). 

(ii) Note 2: The question paper will be got printed bilingual i.e. Hindi (being regional language) & English except language papers. 

(iii) The marks obtained in Preliminary Examination will not be counted towards final selection.

 4. Eligibility Conditions: (I) Nationality (I) A candidate must be (a) a citizen of India, or (b) a citizen of Nepal, or (c) a subject of Bhutan, or Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b) or (c), shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been given by the Government of India or by the Government of Haryana. 

(II) Age Limits: 

The candidates should not be less than 21 years and not more than 42 years of age on or before the first day of January 2018 next preceding the last date for submission of online application form. For evidence of age, the candidates must furnish the matriculation certificate or equivalent academic certificate thereto. The ex-military persons must furnish the discharge certificate indicating therein the date of entry and date of release from the military. 

Upper age limit is relaxable upto five years for the candidates belonging to the following categories:- 

(a) Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes, Special Backward Classes and Economically Backward Persons (General Category) of Haryana only. 

(b) Un-married female candidates of Haryana State only. 

(c) Employees of Haryana Government (excluding ad-hoc capacity) or Punjab and Haryana High Court or any Court subordinate to it in the state of Haryana with four years of service in substantive or officiating capacity subject to a limit of three chances in addition to those which he might have availed within prescribed age limit. The Employees of the Boards/ Corporations/ Universities/ Banks etc. are not eligible for this concession in upper age limit.

(e) Age relaxation for PH candidates of Haryana:- Upper age limit is relaxable for PH category candidates of Haryana by 10 years (15 years for SCs / BCs of Haryana).

Number of Attempts: There is no restriction on the number of attempts to appear in the combined competitive examination, provided candidate is otherwise eligible. 


. The Preliminary Examination shall comprise of two papers of objective type(multiple choice questions) and carry a maximum of 200 marks as under :

There shall  be no negative marking. 

ii) The course content of the syllabi for the Optional subjects shall be of the degree level  

(Graduation level) as per the prescribed syllabus.

iii)This examination is meant to serve as a screening test only. The marks obtained in the 

Preliminary Examination by the candidates who are declared qualified for admission to the Main 

Examination shall not be counted for determining their final order of merit and no marks-sheet 

will be supplied to successful or unsuccessful candidates. 

The Main Examination shall comprise of five papers & Viva-voce:
